Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

This AAT training course provides accountancy training covering the basic principles of ledger accounting and methods of recording financial transactions using both manual and computerised accounting systems. The course is suitable for people with no previous experience of accounting as well as people currently working in an accounting environment but with no formal accounting qualifications

Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

This AAT training course will develop the skills gained at the AAT Foundation stage by looking at the preparation of basic accounting statements and returns. The course is suitable for people with some previous experience of accounting and bookkeeping and depending on current qualifications and work experience, students may start their AAT studies at the Intermediate stage instead of the Foundation stage

Level 4 Diploma in Accounting

This AAT training course will provide a further development of the Intermediate stage by looking at more detailed financial and costing statements produced by accountants. The course also explores more specialist areas of accounting such as taxation and auditing.
The course is delivered through a programme of full day or evening training sessions at our Carlisle training centre and is designed to develop the students’ knowledge, understanding and practical skills to achieve the following NVQ units;

NVQ Payroll

We offer NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications) in Payroll Administration at levels 2 and 3 which are accredited and awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). Prospective students may choose the level of payroll training that is most suited to their needs and the qualifications will focus on the skills and knowledge that can be used on a day to day basis by staff employed within a payroll environment

Apprenticeships

The Accounting Apprenticeship programme is available for students who are aged between 16 and 24 and working a minimum of 30 hours a week in an accounting or finance role and provides free training for certain accounting qualifications. There will be a small charge to cover AAT registration and exam costs.
