Who is this Course Aimed at:
Anyone 16 to 24 is eligible for this apprentice programme

Course Outline and Key Objectives:
To provide a foundation upon which further development can be built, either further qualifications for example DGV Apprenticeship programme. Candidates will achieve an NVQ for their vocational job role.

Course Requirements:
Minimum age requirement 16, Maximum 24, no formal education, must be employed

What Course Materials are Provided?
NVQ portfolio, learner handbook

Training Methods:
Assessment is undertaken in the workplace. For those undergoing RTITB basic Fork Lift Truck training attendance at System Group for practical training and testing is required

Course Delivery Method:
Basic RTITB training takes place at System Group, however, refresher training can sometimes be in the candidates workplace.  Assessment take place in own workplace

Main Areas Covered by Course:
  • Key Skills minimum level 1 in:
  • Communication. 
  • Application of number.   
  • Information communication technology.
  • Problem solving.

Final Assessment:
All candidates need to complete 8 NVQ units to achieve the award – final assessment will be on completion of the last unit. Key Skills will be run separately and attendance at portfolio building days with Key Skill assessors is essential.

Official Accreditations / Awards Resulting From Course:
You will gain a level 2 NVQ, and have the opportunity to gain certificates for Fire Safety, COSHH, IOSH, First Aid, and Basic RTITB Fork lift truck license.
