Who is this Course Aimed at:
16-24 year olds wishing to develop a career within road haulage or associated industries.

Course Outline and Key Objectives:
To provide a foundation upon which further development can be built, either further qualifications or entry into management. Candidates will achieve a portfolio of qualifications including but not exclusively, car licence, key skills Application of Number 1/2, Communication 1/2, LGV licences, CPC, ADR, technical certificate.

Course Requirements:
Minimum age 16. Maximum age 24. Able to meet Dept of Transport medical criteria for LGV licence. No formal education required. Must be employed

NVQ portfolios, study materials

Training Methods:

Classroom attendance for one day per week over a 7 week period to gain key skills and attend NVQ underpinning knowledge

Classroom based, vehicle based, work environment based.

- Driving Goods Vehicles NVQ Level 2 / 3. - Technical Certificate in Road Freight Logistics. - Apprenticeship - Key Skills Level 1 Application of Number. - Key Skills Level 1 Communication. - Advanced Apprenticeship in Driving Goods Vehicles - Key Skills Level 2 Application of Number. - Key Skills Level 2 Communication. - Some of the following qualifications. CAT B (Car) licence, CAT C (Rigid LGV Licence), CAT C+E (Articulated LGV Licence), CPC, ADR, FLT.

Final Assessment:
NVQ Assessment Level 2 & Level 3. Driving Tests, Technical Certificate Tests, Possible CPC Tests
