Who is this Course Aimed at:
All employees who are required to use vehicles in connection with their employment
Course Outline and Key Objectives:
To provide drivers with the knowledge and strategies which can be used to avoid risks and behaviour leading to risk taking and conflict. To equip drivers with the information that will allow safe driving judgements to be taken.
Course Requirements:
Candidates must hold a full driving licence for the category on which training is required
What Course Materials are Provided?
Appropriate handouts / driver cards covering: Fatigue, Mobile phone usage, inappropriate speed

Final Assessment:
A Risk Assessment. A comprehensive report will be produced and agreed in liaison with the candidate highlighting safe behaviour. Ongoing candidate commitment to further reduce risk.

No formal award. An attendance certificate will be provided. Individual report provided. Management reports will be provided.

Hazard recognition. Hazard and risk awareness. Provide useable strategies which minimise risk. Improves environmental awareness and fuel efficiency. Addresses identified risk factors. Reduces risk taking behaviour. Introductory class based session focusing on incident causation factors. Pre drive - eyesight / licence checks. Pre drive - vehicle takeover checks. Training demonstration drive with hazard recognition and avoidance commentary. Individual coaching drivers, focusing on space cushion. Identify high risk environments and behaviours.
Final Assessment:
